Perkins Loan
Threat Level is Red
As you probably know, the
Perkins Loan program is under an unprecedented threat to its
existence because of the proposal in President Bush's budget to
eliminate it. However; it isn't dead yet; its up to Congress to
decide whether or not to follow the President's proposal. That's
where you come in. We need to let our members of Congress in both
the House and the Senate know that your institution or organization
supports the Perkins Loan program - that it shouldn't be killed and
that it needs to be funded.
RC Services has joined the
COHEAO Grassroots Action Network (CGRAN)
in organizing a nationwide effort to mobilize college and university
staff members, students, parents and others in communicating with
Congress and urging them not to reject the President's proposal to eliminate this
essential loan program. Please go to our
Perkins Loans in Peril page for details of the latest CGRAN
activities as well as resources to help you communicate with your
members of Congress.

The Frog That
Climbed Everest
As Eric Simonson
lead the Mallory and Irvine expedition up the north face of Mount
Everest, an RC Services Frog! was nestled comfortably in their
baggage. To set the tone of our Web Feature titled "Where Has your
Frog! Been Lately" we have posted pictures of the Frog! that climbed
Everest on our Frog! Page.
Those of you who already have one of our famous little amphibians,
please take it with you on your travels. Then send us photos of you
and your Frog! in exciting and exotic places. We will scan the photos
and post them in the Frog! Photo gallery. If you don't already have
a Frog!, just drop us a line or give us a call and we'll hop one
right over to you.
